Dear team,

Today, our hearts are heavy. The tragic events in Sydney on Sunday night, on the first day of Hanukkah, at a community celebration in Bondi Beach have left families and communities shattered. Sadly, multiple lives were lost, and many others were injured. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and everyone impacted by this senseless act of violence.

Moments like these remind us of the importance of compassion and unity, for everyone regardless of culture and community connection. I know that we’ll continue to do what we do best at Metcash – come together and support each other. Please take care of yourselves and each other and remember that grief impacts each of us differently. Reach out if you need support, or simply to talk.
