Birthday Day Off (BDO) in 2026!
Dear Team,
In recognition of your incredible contributions throughout 2025, I’m delighted to continue the Birthday Day Off (BDO) initiative for 2026!
This means that Full-Time and Part-Time team members will receive a paid day off on their birthday, separate from annual leave, so you can truly enjoy and celebrate your special day.
Key Details:
- Benefit: A paid Birthday Day Off (BDO), separate from annual leave
- Period: Available from January 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026
- One-Time Offering: This is a special initiative for 2026
- Eligibility: Full-Time and Part-Time team members
How It Works:
- Discuss your upcoming BDO with your Manager at least two weeks in advance to help with rostering.
Conditions:
- Must be taken on the day of your birthday.
- For Part-Time team members: If your birthday falls on a non-rostered workday, you can take the BDO on your next rostered workday (coordinate with your Manager).
- If your birthday falls on a weekend: You may take the BDO on the nearest workday (before or after the weekend, as agreed with your Manager).
- If your birthday falls on a Public Holiday: You may take the BDO on the nearest workday (before or after the holiday, as agreed with your Manager).
- The BDO cannot be carried forward or accumulated—it’s a “use it or lose it” benefit.
- No additional team members will be rostered to cover BDO absences.
This initiative is a heartfelt appreciation from the Executive Team, ensuring you can enjoy your birthday to the fullest in 2026.
